We’re pleased to share that Kroonpress was awarded an EcoVadis Bronze rating at the end of 2025. Below, we briefly explain what EcoVadis and ESG are, and what this result means for Kroonpak and our partners.
EcoVadis is a globally recognised sustainability ratings platform that evaluates companies on their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Unlike a certificate or ecolabel, EcoVadis provides an independent third-party assessment of how responsibly a company is managed.
The goal of EcoVadis is to offer companies and their customers a transparent, comparable overview of sustainability strengths and risks. It supports continuous improvement and helps supply chain partners evaluate the responsibility level of their suppliers.
What does EcoVadis evaluate, and how is the assessment carried out?
The assessment covers four core themes:
- Environment – energy and resource use, CO₂ emissions, waste management
- Labour & Human Rights – worker safety, employee rights, diversity and inclusion
- Ethics – anti-corruption, fair business practices, data protection
- Sustainable Procurement – supply chain responsibility and transparency
In total, 21 criteria are evaluated based on the company’s industry, size, and location.
EcoVadis uses a customised questionnaire, supported by:
- Company-provided documents (e.g. policies, procedures, reports)
- Third-party certifications
- Public sources and media monitoring (EcoVadis 360° Watch)
A team of EcoVadis analysts reviews the existence, implementation, and performance of sustainability policies. The result is a scorecard and rating, valid for 12 months.

EcoVadis medal levels and Kroonpress’s Bronze rating explained
The medals are awarded based on performance percentile among rated companies:
Platinum – Top 1%
Gold – Top 5%
Silver – Top 15%
Bronze – Top 35%
Kroonpress has received a Bronze Medal (as of 29.12.2025), placing us among the top 35% of all assessed companies globally. This demonstrates that we have a functioning sustainability management system in place, while also highlighting areas for further improvement.
What does this mean for Kroonpak and our partners? EcoVadis provides an independent, comparable assessment of Kroonpress’s ESG performance:
- Enhanced trust and credibility with clients and partners
- Greater competitiveness in international tenders
- A clear overview of strengths and improvement areas

The received rating reflects Kroonpress’s years of focused sustainability work and helps us prioritise the next improvement steps.
